BLOODHOUND Engineering Challenge Scotland 2017-2018

The 2017 — 18 BLOODHOUND Engineering Challenge has now launched and follows on from the great success of last years challenge, and will once again see Secondary School students aged 12-16yrs take part in the challenge.

The 2016-2017 ESP Annual Report is now available and highlights the impact and successes made over the last year through working with colleges and Energy, Engineering and Construction industry bodies.

Working with industry ESP commissioned Soluis Group to design and develop an online interactive map based resource as a key portal for both industry and potential learners.

Food and Drink Career Expo is organised by College Development Network (CDN) and will take place on Thursday 14 September 2017 at BT Murrayfield, Edinburgh hosted during Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight.

Energy Skills Partnership (ESP) have been working in partnership with France and Norway on a three year project to highlight careers in the wind and marine energy sector.

Big Bang Scotland Fair 2017

On 13 June 2017 ESP hosted the Big Bang Scotland Fair at Perth College UHI’s Academy for Sport and Wellbeing. With the aim to inspire young people from schools across Scotland to consider a career in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) related roles, the event welcomed 535 school pupils from 37 schools across Scotland with an equal gender split.
 

ELITE BIM and Energy Efficiency Event

On 8th June 2017 ESP and Energy Links and Integration Tools for Efficiency (ELITE) held a partnership multiplier event in Fife to allow colleges, partner representatives and external stakeholders to meet and exchange information about their professional practices that are relevant to energy efficiency in buildings using Building information modelling (BIM) tools.
